SURGICAL SKILLS CLUB
NOTE: SURGICAL SKILLS CLUB SESSIONS & ASSESSMENT DAYS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2020
The ESSS Surgical Skills Club meets every other Tuesday at 6:30-8:30pm at Appleton Tower. All details are posted in the Facebook group entitled 'ESSS Surgical Skills Club'.
The club enables members to develop their practical knowledge through our new surgical curriculum, which incorporates basic surgical skills such as knot tying and interrupted sutures. We are planning to run an annual 'assessment day', through which students can receive certification for their surgical portfolio. For all skills club resources, including video tutorials and curriculum documentation, visit 'Resources'.
Every session is supervised by Edinburgh-based foundation doctors and surgical trainees. It is therefore good chance to enhance your understanding of a surgical career and how to get there!
Sign ups via TuBS will be posted live on our Facebook group on the Friday preceding the Tuesday skills club, at 7pm. Please note there are limited spaces, so sign up quickly for a guaranteed spot.
The club is free for ESSS Members (see membership).
